She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Theodore Offerman and Viola Offerman; her husband Rev. Paul Schnelle; her brothers, Donald and Nathan Offerman; and her son-in-law Andrew Brauer.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Schnelle (Peggy), Kimberly Davis (Perry), Dana Schnelle (Vonda), Ethan Schnelle (Theresa), Andrea Brauer, Rhonda Nelson (Matt), Aaron Schnelle (Kimberly) and Rachel Schnelle; and her siblings, Judy, Jerry and Virtus Offerman.
In honor of Joan, the family suggests memorial donations be directed to Lutheran Women's Missionary League of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin, MO or Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO, in care of Knell Mortuary.
