He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Fortner and Ruth Fortner; his daughter Connie Sue; and his wife Yvonne "Goodman" Fortner. He is survived by: his sisters, Helen Grant and Shirley Daniel of Ash Grove, Missouri; and his brothers-in-law, Douglas (Jane Goodman) and Ecuador. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
