We bid farewell to James Davilee McCoy of Carthage, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 30, 2025 at the age of 93. James Davilee touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Brown (Dubois); his son Mike McCoy; his parent Charley Brown; and his siblings, Vernon McCoy, Doyle McCoy, Dallas McCoy and Opal Nadene Bridgeman.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Debi Morgan, Karen Maynard (Greg), David Keith McCoy and Cheryl Bryant (Jeff); his sisters, Joyce Schoenfeld and Jean Wooten; his grandchildren, Whitney Brown, Andrew Morgan, Matt Maynard, Forrest Maynard, Sarah Maynard, Sara Bell, William Bell and Annie McCoy; and his daughter-in-law Linda McCoy. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at 800 S Main St, Carthage, MO 64836. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
The family suggests contributions to St Jude Children's Hospital or Tunnel to Towers in care of Knell Mortuary.
