She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Frederick and Mildred Stegall (Pfister); her husband George Emmett Phelps Jr. of Carthage, MO; and her brothers, Hugh Frederick Stegall Jr. and Robert Stegall.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Phelps (Lisa Reed), Michael Phelps (John Ikeda), Kate Phelps Fischer (David) and Laura Phelps Shaw (Lee); her grandchildren, Samantha Fischer Jackson (Kevin), Emma Phelps Phillips (Scott), John Henry Fischer, Nicholas Phelps, Olivia Shaw (Michael Leon), James Fischer and Will Shaw; her brother-in-law Pat Phelps (Carolyn); her nieces, Carrie Phelps and Alison Phelps Holman (Chris); and her nephew Bill Phelps (Lora).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rice University in Houston, TX and Capitol City Hospice Care in Columbus, OH in care of Knell Mortuary.
