He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Stiles and Alice Stiles (Townley); his wife Betty Stiles; his grandson Roger Strait; his sons-in-law, Richard Strait and Donald Richmond; and his siblings, Edith Clyman, Wayne Stiles, Donald Lee Stiles and Harold Stiles.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Strait of Carthage, Cynthia Richmond of Carthage and Rick Stiles (Rita) of Joplin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Habitat for Humanity, Integrity Hospice or the First United Methodist Church Carthage.
