He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester W. Swan and Antoinette "Barrow" Swan; and his brother David Swan. He is survived by: his wife Janis Swan; his siblings, Donald T. Swan of Winston-Salem and Katherine Swan Osborne of North Carolina; his brothers-in-law, Mike Waynick of Carthage and Gary Waynick (Janis) of Wisconsin; and his nieces and nephews, Kristie Wagner (Chris) of Milwaukee, Kelly B. Smart (Michael) of South Carolina, Russell Waynick (Rita) of Carthage, Andrew Waynick (Hayley) of Leawood, Kevin Burton of South Carolina and J. T. Swan (Tiffany) of North Carolina.
