He was predeceased by: his aunt Nicole Mathern. He is survived by: his parents, Daniel Mathern (Cher Jiang) and Christy "Slates" Mathern (Chris Jacobsen); his sister Brittany Carnagey (Erin) of Carthage; his niece Paizlee; his grandparents, Jean Mathern of Carthage, Janett Crow of Oklahoma, Jack and Jeannie Slates of Carthage; and his aunts and uncles, Kelly Bloom, Kara Bruton, Josh Slates, Justin Slates, Michael Slates, James Slates and Guy Bloom.
