He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Cardwell and Irene Cardwell (West); his wife Nedra Kester; and his brothers, Jack Cardwell and Bill Cardwell.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Cardwell (Patricia), Nancy Williams, Sharon Holland (Chuck), Sandra Wells and Josie Smith (Dean). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
