She is survived by: her husband Wayne Hood; her sons, Brian DePreste, Jr. (Melinda) of Carterville and Charles DePreste, Sr. of Sarcoxie; her grandchildren, Kaya Christopher (Cody), Courtney Ayres (Nick), Kyra DePreste, Somairah DePreste, Brian DePreste, III, Ezra DePreste, Charles DePreste, Jr. (Angelica), Janelle DePreste, Allison DePreste and Skylar Lewis; her stepchildren, Terry Hood (Kim) of Neck City, Brenda Patrick (Tim) of Carthage, Barbara Stafford of Carthage and Shonda McClure (Nathan) of Nicholasville, Kentucky; the father of her children Brian DePreste, Sr.; and her brothers, Bill Brown (Stephanie) and Jim Brown. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
