She was predeceased by: her parents, John B. Finnell and Lillian F. Finnell (Martin); her siblings, Marlene Preston Finnell, Frances Finnell and Vernell Finnell; her former husband Frank Mays; and her son Melvin Mays.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Rita; her sister Marjorie Bigby; her sons, Glenn Mays (Celeste) of Clinton Mo, Darryl Finnell of St. Joeseph, David Finnell of Blue Springs and Byron Mays (Rita) of Lawrence, KS; her sister Lovea Kern of Kansas City; and her nieces, Lisa Kern of Kansas City, MO and Julie Slaughter (Dallas) of Kansas City, MO.
