He was predeceased by: his mother Agnes Louise Cowger (Crackenberger). He is survived by: his wife Gennie Sturgeon; his children, Danielle Hendrickson (Derrick) of Rolla, Richard D. Cowger of Lebanon, Sarah French, Gary Jacobsen of Marion, Brittney French of Carrollton, Missouri and Rachael French of Carrollton, Missouri; his father Richard E. Cowger of Hale, Missouri; his sister Renata Skinner (Brent) of Chillicothe, Missouri; his grandchildren, Kaden Preston, Liam Hendrickson, Jackson Cowger, Parker Cowger and Hunter Jacobsen; and his niece Rachel Skinner.
