He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Metz and Ollie Marie Metz (Kitchen); his wife Sharon Metz of Carrollton, MO; his son Scott Metz (Kelly) of Carrollton, MO; his grandchildren, Lily Metz of Lake St, Cedar Metz of Carrollton, MO, Ella Metz of Carrollton, MO and Milo Metz of Carrollton, MO; his brother Keith Metz (Val) of Erie, PA; his nieces, Lindsay Metz and Bethany Allgeier; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jalayna Jones and Tyler Allgeier.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton (124 N Folger St, Carrollton, MO 64633). The military honors was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (20109 MO-13 BUS, Higginsville, MO 64037).
