He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tonnar and Esther Tonnar (Dunn); his wife Elizabeth Tonnar; and his sisters, Jo Ellen Evans, Rosie Murphy and Judy Harper.

He is survived by: his siblings, Teresa Casner (Ronnie) of Norborne, MO, Debbie Casner (Douglas) of Carrollton, MO, Carol Stark of Carrollton, MO, Diana Pennington (Anthony) of Blue Springs, MO and Michael Tonnar of Boonville, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Mary's Scholarship Fund.
