He is survived by: his children, Ryan Carter (Jennifer Parker) of Carrollton and Janelle Murphy (James "Curt" Murphy) of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Conner Barnhart, Zoey Barnhart, Preston Carter, Payton Carter, Ella Barnhart, Trey Barnhart and Lauren Carter; and his sister Marjorie Herring of Carrollton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
