He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Francis Hughes and Anna Bell Hughes (Adkins); his wife Carla Jo Hughes (Hawkins); and his siblings, Bert Hughes, Bill Hughes, Tootie Hughes, Wayne Hughes, Jean Miller, Dink Smith, Jessie Standley, Anna Mae Wuick and Melba Hughes.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Hughes (Amy) of Carrollton, MO, Jennifer Linn (Joseph) of Ocala, FL and Miranda Bowen of Carrollton, MO; and his grandchildren, Josh, Andrew, Caden Hughes, Joseph, Jaden Linn, Skylar Hawkins, Sadie Hawkins and Lynkoln Bowen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The military honors will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (20109 Bus, MO-13, Higginsville, MO 64037).
