He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Lee and Iona Evelyn Shields (Scott); and his sister Shirley Ann Worley. He is survived by: his brother Richard Lee; his wife Patsy Lorraine O'Neal; his sons, Everett Lee Shields (Jennifer) of Carrollton and Lowell Allen Shields (Cathy) of Carrollton; and his granddaughters, Alexis Shields (Kolby) and Allison Shields. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In Butch's memory, and as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
