With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris M. Burton Sorrels (Carrollton, Missouri), who passed away on April 30, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Oscar and Ira [Davidson] Burton; and her siblings, Muriel "Mickey" Burton Darrow (Bob Rutledge) and Charles Junior Burton (Lee). She is survived by: her spouse Dale Sorrels; her children, Ladona Sorrels Love, Charles [Aretta] Sorrels and Debra Sorrels [Mike] Mecca; and her grandchildren, Kimberly Cox [Mike] Ritchhart, Doug [Melissa] Cox, Markian Sorrels, Zorian [Mayumi] Sorrels, Johanna Sorrels [Eric] Flemming, Mason Ross [Heather] Holley and Katherine Holley [Ashley] Dingess. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Doris thoroughly enjoyed music and attending all musical events at Carrollton Schools, so it is only fitting that her family respectfully requests that any memorial contributions be made to Carrollton Music Boosters.
