He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold L. Oster and Hazel E. Oster (Bisel); his sons, Lavere C. Oster and Leonard L. Oster; and his siblings, Virginia Lee Anderson and Morris Ray Oster.
He is survived by: his family, Laverne D., Lavere C., Leonard L. and Larry A.; his wife JoAnna Carter; his sons, Laverne Oster of Braymer and Larry Oster (Rebecca) of Carrollton, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Jeffery Oster (Karen Silvers) of Chillicothe, Kenda Morrison (Tim) of Hannibal, Cinphany Oster (Gage Ham) of Chillicothe, Lavere Allen Oster of Olathe, Penny Johnson of Corder, Nathaniel Oster of Springfield, Aimee Oster of Elkhorn, Nicholas Oster of Houston, Brandon Hayes of Rockingham, Heather Shoemaker (Branigan) of Cameron, Cortney Miller (Ryan) of Trenton, Michael Oster (Hailey) of Richmond, Virginia and Hailey Hayes (James Wellman) of Carrollton, Missouri. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
