He was predeceased by: his father Earl J. Closterman; and his sister Deanna Lee Closterman. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Closterman (Guthrie); his sisters, Carol Clark, Connie Kalthoff (Robin) of Grand Pass and Suzanne Smith (David) of Waverly; and his nephews, Chris Kalthoff (Amy) of Sedalia, Andrew Smith (Alicia) of Alma and Alex Smith of Waverly.
