She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Ray and Annabelle DeMint (Ellis); her husband Orval C. Richards; her siblings, Mary Dady, Dorothy Ryan (Dot), John DeMint, Jr., David DeMint, Arlene DeMint and Phyllis Kay Oster; her siblings-in-law, Rex Dady, Dorsey Ryan, Kenneth Bowlen, Larry Matthews, Ron Oster, Ernest Robertson, Nellie DeMint and Linda DeMint; and her stepchildren, Raymond Richards, Joe Richards and Shelly Womack.

She is survived by: her former husband Bill Carter; her daughter Pam Robertson (Randy) of Stilwell, Kansas; her grandson Ryan Robertson (Taylor) of Olathe, Kansas; her great grandchildren, Parker and Patrick; her stepchildren, Robert Richards (Kelly) of Greenback, Donnie Richards (Mary Kay) of Hale, Douglas Richards of Madisonville, Rebecca Hensley (Rickie) of Marshall, Billy Richards (Tera) of Maryville, Lora Kay Brockman (Tim) of Carrollton, Tommy Richards (Kristie) of Carrollton and Tammy Crawford (Robert) of Carrollton, Missouri; her sisters, Vivian Bowlen of Carrollton, Betty Flick (Jack) of Tina, Opal Marie Zitmeir (Norris Dean) of Santa Maria, Joyce Matthews (Paul Heston) of Topeka and June Dobbins (Larry) of Carrollton, Missouri; and her sisters-in-law, Florene Robertson of Belton and Myrtle Auxier (Lowell) of Kansas City, Missouri. She is also survived by nineteen nieces and nephews.
