He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Burns and Agnus Burns; his sisters, Dorothy and Loretta; and his daughters, Amy Burns and Deena Aragon.
He is survived by: his wife Karadene Burns; and his children, Curtis Burns, Katie Burns, Lorie Burns, Carol Jones, Sarah Ogle, Hal Burns (Valeri), Tina Tyndall, Ricky Rodney (Cheryl), James Rodney (Debbie) and Pam Darkis. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
