He was predeceased by: his parents, Ames Delbert Payton, Jr. and Lottie Catherine Payton (Bruton); his wife Sandra Payton; and his siblings, Agnes Louise Day, Deliah Pearlee Payton and Johnny Lee Payton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Donald, Germie, Dwight, James, Everett, Billy, Junior and Wilma Paxton; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Adams and Clarence Admas, II.
