She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Sandy and Marguerite Sandy; her son Russell A. Ward; her brother Steven Sandy; and her son-in-law Darrell Hicks, Sr..
She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Ward Hicks of Carl Junction; her sisters, Lily Ash and Jeanette Verbryck of Carl Junction; her grandchildren, Chris Patterson (Stephanie) of Carl Junction, Sydney Anselmi (Jacob) of Pittsburg, Samuel Ward, Darrell Hicks, Jr. (Carla) of Webb City and Melissa Neblett (Keith) of Carl Junction; and her great grandchildren, Jackson Patterson, Austin Daniel (Jordan), Addison Daniel, Ty Hicks, Kade Hicks, Lauren Hicks, Dawsyn Hicks, Tanner Neblett (Amanda) and Justin Hicks (Amanda). She is also survived by four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in her memory.
