Virgil Long Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Long of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Virgil may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Virgil touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Byoma Long and Addie M. Wilson Long; and his siblings, Arvel Long, Lennard Ray Long, Bobby Joe Long, Harry Franklin Quetermous, H. L. Robert Quetermous and Carol Long.
He is survived by: his son Jimmy Crossen of Cape Girardeau. He is also survived by two grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Unity Baptist Cemetery (4846 MO-77, Benton, MO 63736).
