With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruth Stephens (Cape Girardeau, Missouri), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruth left this world on November 10, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Hargraves and Helen Melba Hargraves (McClard); her husband James R Stephens; her son Mike Stephens; her sister Beverly Bond (Gary); and her siblings-in-law, Jenny Hargraves, Gary Bond and Loyd Nesbit.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Stephens, Scott Stephens (Beverly), Rodney Stephens (Patty) and Kevin Stephens (Angie); and her siblings, Bill Hargraves (Jenny), Jack Hargraves (Jane) and Joyce Nesbit (Lloyd). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to Ford and Sons Funeral Home on behalf of the family to lessen their burden.
