He was predeceased by: his sisters, Minnie Louise Russell and Phyllis Rosetta Betts (Pat). He is survived by: his wife Sandy Betts of Sikeston; his children, Ben Davis (Misti) of Sikeston and Ashley Lewis (Rick) of Sikeston; and his sisters, Betty Jean Avant of St. Louis, Gloria Dene Avant of Marianna and Ollie Lewis Nelson (Duke) of Lansing Michigan. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
