He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. McCoy Sr. and Glenda Hamlyn McCoy; and his brothers, Michael and Glenn McCoy. He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth; his children, Bryan McCoy (Wendy) and Jenni McCoy (Chuck Haupt); his grandchildren, Taimen Taylor (Marie), Michael McCoy (Lillie), Holly Rees (Samuel), Morgan Rutherford, Kim Haupt (Robert), Brandon Kohrman and Stacey Sides (Joey); his great grandchildren, Devyn, Aidyn, Graisyn, Nolyn Haupt, Margaux Rees, Ava, Ellie Kohrman of David, J. J., Zoie and Braxton Sides; and his siblings, Gerald McCoy (Paula), Charles McCoy, Danny McCoy (Paula), Todd McCoy (Ellen), Florence McCoy (Melinda), Kathy Locke (Albert), Cindy Gaebler and Kelly James (Patrick). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Ford and Son Mt. Auburn Chapel (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701).
