It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Earl Welter of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on November 16, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer J. Welter and Shirley Anderson Welter; his sister Cheryl Gerhardt of Cape Girardeau; his nephew Jason Stovall of Cape Girardeau; his nieces, Jessica Shackles of Chaffee and JoAnna Sams of Cape Girardeau; and his friend Pat Lynch. He was also cherished by several great nieces and great nephews; a great great niece and nephew.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Cape Girardeau American Legion Post 3838, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
