It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard W. Volkerding of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Volkerding and Helen Gruenberg Volkerding. He is survived by: his wife Jane of Cape Girardeau; his sons, Steven Volkerding (Sheree) of Cape Girardeau, Grant Volkerding (LeaAnn) of Jefferson City and Robert Volkerding (Kathy) of Jefferson City; his grandchildren, Michelle Huesgen (Danny), Richard E. Volkerding, Tara Edwards (Gabe), Jason Volkerding, Jack Volkerding, Ann Nash (Ken), Amy Chin (Bobby), Megan Cortez, Leslie Chiles (Dave) and Brian Bloomer (Susan); and his great grandchildren, Stella Huesgen, Braden Volkerding, Kobi, Jonas Edwards, Benton Conners, Alexianna, Giovonna Nash, Tyler Chin, Jhon, Sophia Cortez, Reece, Alex Chiles, Livia and Lucas Bloomer.
