He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter M. Propst and Cora M. Russell Propst; and his siblings, Helen Thompson, Fred Propst and Charles Propst.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Propst (Lisa Parker) of St. Joseph, Missouri and Sandra Sneathen (Jeff) of Gordonville, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Jordan Sneathen (Leigha Wilkerson) and Kaylyn Sneathen (Jarrett Schwab).
