She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Herbert and Emma Anna Parsons Atkinson; her spouse Lois Newman; and her siblings, Clois Atkinson, Herbert "Bill" Junior Atkinson, Arlis Dean Atkinson, Amy Atkinson, Ila Faye Atkinson and Betty Lou McCulley.
She is survived by: her siblings, Anna Jo Wagganer of Cape Girardeau and J. D. Atkinson of Woodriver, Illinois; and her stepdaughter Marsha Hammock (David) of Prosper, Texas.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces.
