She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Thomason and Beulah Drum Thomason; her husband Clyde Sams; her son Gary Lee Sams; and her siblings, Loyd Thomason, Helen Seabaugh and Marguerite Long.
She is survived by: her siblings, Carl Thomason and Janice Boeller; and her close friend Peanut. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Lynwood Baptist Church.
