She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Bateman and Ethel Benson Bateman; her husband Jim; her daughter Shelby Stafford; and her brother-in-law Jesse.
She is survived by: her children, Jarett Stafford (Kim) of Cape Girardeau and Bethany Stafford of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Hannah Wilson and Noah Stafford; her siblings, Theresa Gatewood (Garvin) of Rector, Keith Bateman (Cathy) of Sikeston and Marieda Lawrence (Mark) of Russellville, Arkansas; and her sister-in-law Sandra Stafford (late Jesse) of Jonesboro, Arkansas. She is also survived by eight nephews.
Memorial Donations may be made in Karen's memory to the Cape Senior Center or to the Access Ministry at Lynwood Baptist Church.
