It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Altenthal of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on December 18, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John J. East and Dorothy S. Ladd East; and her brothers, William, Roger and David East.
She is survived by: her husband Brad Altenthal of Jackson; her children, Lance Altenthal (Taylor Fuwell) of Jackson, Jennifer Thompson (Billy) of Jackson and Melissa Winkler of Cape Girardeau; her siblings, John J. East (Debbie) of Jackson, Rick East (Becky) of Cape Girardeau, Stephen East (Becky) of St. Charles, Missouri, Barbara Glueck of Kelso and Mary Boeller (Keith) of Cape Girardeau; her sister-in-law Pam East of Cape Girardeau; and her grandchildren, Emma, Aiden, Brynn, Tate Winkler, Collin, Chase Havill, Nash Thompson and Parker Altenthal.
