He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Aaron Carter Sr. and Pearlie Mae Johnson Curry; and his siblings, Norma Jean Carter, Shirley Jean Nunley, Patricia Ann Foulks and Bobby Lee Curry. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
