Jane Avolyn DeGuire left this world on December 27, 2024 at the age of 105, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank H. DeGuire and Avolyn "Casey" DeGuire; her husband Herbert L. Stephens of Peoria, Ill.; and her son Michael P. Stephens. She is survived by: her daughter Susan D. Elrod; her daughter-in-law Martha Stephens of Cape Girardeau; her grandchildren, Patrick Stephens (Yumi) of Hitachi, Japan and Sarah (Jim); her great grandchildren, Seth Stephens (Zachery Stephens) of Colombia, S. C. and Chelsea Stephens of San Antonio, TX.; and her great great grandchildren, Asley Stephens, Maggie, Lucy, Nora Stephens, Paxton, Gemma and Anova Stephens.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ford & Sons Funeral Homes (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701-3455). A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cape County Memorial Park (2315 US-61, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701).
