He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pyrtle and Vivian Sisco Pyrtle; his brother Robert Pyrtle; and his half-siblings, Jeffrey Pyrtle and Anna O'Neal.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Pyrtle of Cape Girardeau; his daughters, Katherine Elliott of Cape Girardeau, Susan Gentry (Richard) of Cape Girardeau, Karen Oliver (Terry) of Patton and Patti Collier of Cape Girardeau; and his grandchildren, Kristen Pyrtle, Summer Rister, Jacob Gentry, Courtney Pyrtle, Justin Oliver, Keighley Russell and Colby Collier. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
