He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Vines and Ellie Lee Allen Vines; and his siblings, Billy Ray Vines, Roland Vines, Juanita "Tiny" Williams and Margaret "Mot" Blue.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Vines of Holcomb, MO; and his son Johnny Freeman Vines (Jennifer) of Campbell, MO. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
