He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Higdon and Daisy Hickman Higdon; and his sisters, Elizabeth Brewer (James) of Benton and Peggy Boyette (Luke) of Florida. He is survived by: his wife Tina; his daughter Joy Livesay (Dean); his grandchildren, Hayden and Skye Livesay of Cape Girardeau; his son Jacob Reinagel of Kelso; his brother William "Dub" Higdon of Sikeston; and his parents-in-law, Elmer and Sue Heisserer of New Hamburg.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Research Hospital.
