He was predeceased by: his father David Varvell. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Carrel Varvell of Cape Girardeau; and his siblings, Judy Wiles (Charles) of Cape Girardeau, David Varvell (Janice) of Union City and Keith Varvell (Elizabeth) of Providence Village, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 63 or Cape First Church.
