He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Ellis and Mae Simmons Ellis; and his siblings, Harold Ellis and Shirlene Riley. He is survived by: his children, Rick Ellis (Darlene) of Albuquerque, Sherry Mayo of Jackson and Cathy White of Ballwin, Missouri; his siblings, Rev. Gene Ellis of Casey, Oren Ellis Jr. (Karen) of Perryville, Missouri, Shirley Ellis of Cape Girardeau and Judy Davis (Toby) of Louisville, Kentucky; his granddaughters, Melissa Hampton (Michael) of Ballwin and Gloria Sauerbrunn (Darrin) of Jackson, Missouri; and his great grandchildren, Brenna, Murphy, Hannah, Joseph Hampton, Jacob and Josey Sauerbrunn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
