He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Raymond and Ethel Jane Underwood (Jackson); his wife Clara Ann Underwood; and his siblings, Verna Cordia, Mildred Scowden, Ruby Lucille Conklin, Dale Underwood and Ivan.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Underwood, Rhonda Dunham and Charleen Dubbs; and his siblings, Wanda Lemar, Raymond Underwood and Milford Underwood. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
