She was predeceased by: her parents, Rowena Mertens and Bill Mertens of Raytown; and her uncle LeRoy Bromley of Springfield, MO.. She is survived by: her husband Gary McDowell of Cape Girardeau; her children, Barry McDowell (Patricia) of Haymarket, Becky Rush (Kelly) of Batesville and Beth Johnson (Marcus) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.; and her grandchildren, CJ McDowell, Christopher McDowell, Taylor Rush, Tyas Rush, Ava Johnson and Marshall Johnson.
