He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Hesse; and his siblings, Josephine Hesse and Roger Hesse. He is survived by: his children, Donna Sumner (Rob), Phillip Hesse (Chris), Laurie Hesse and Shannon McNew (Corey); his grandchildren, Alison Sumner, Katie Sumner, Susie Carter of Robby Sumner, P. J, Jessica Carroll, Amanda Hesse, Beth Broyles, Connor McNew, Christian McNew and Molly McNew; his brother Albert James Hesse; his sister-in-law Patricia Hesse; his aunt Francis Bohnert; and his close friends, Ginny, Glenn Dirnberger and Brenda Todt-Hicks. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
