With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Gene Smith of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on July 16, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fletcher Smith and Edna Marie Lincoln Smith; his siblings, Joyce McGee and Rodney Wayne Smith; and his son Shannon Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Stratton (James) of Cape Girardeau, Stacy Lucas (Chad) of Marble Hill, Brandon Smith of Sturdivant, Richard Price (Brittany) of Cape Girardeau and Matthew Smith (Katie) of Pevely, Missouri; and his siblings, Ronnie Smith (Phyllis) of Cape Girardeau, Jerry Smith (Ruby) of Cape Girardeau, Linda Sanders of Cape Girardeau and Lavonda Thurman (Durwood) of Jackson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Dennis to the donor's church or charity of choice.
