It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debra Ann Russell of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, born in Oran, Missouri, who passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Buell and Scyvilla Buell (Brucker); and her sister Catharine Harrell. She is survived by: her sons, Eric Backfisch (Ruth) of Scott City, David Backfisch (Jennifer) of Sikeston and Andy Backfisch (Jamie) of Dexter; her stepson Daniel Russell of Cape Girardeau; her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tyler), Alicia, William, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Allison, Mallory and Drew; and her siblings, LeRoy "Topper" Buell of Oran and Linda Watkins of Oran.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel - Oran (114 Mountain St, Oran, MO 63771). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
