He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Cecil and Mattie K. Calhoun Retherford; his wife Gladys Marie Mueller; and his siblings, David, Ronald Retherford and Anna Mae Hahn.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Retherford (Mandy), Tammy Lutes (John) of Cape Girardeau, Connie Keller (Allen) of Jackson and Paula Simms of Cape Girardeau; and his brother Mike Retherford of Cape Girardeau. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McCombs Funeral Home (1425 Kurre Ln, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM.
