It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Chasteen of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmo Wilson and Easter Evelyn France Frease; and her sister Darlene Sanders. She is survived by: her sons, John Austin (Melissa) of Sikeston, MO. and Kyle Chasteen (Mary) of Pacific, MO; her stepdaughters, Beverly Morris of Arnold, MO, Brenda Stanton (Mel) of Lake St and Judy Disbrow (David) of Lake St; her sister Diane Behlke of Springfield, MO; her grandchildren, Danny Austin, Nick Austin, Gwendolynn Chasteen and Fletcher Chasteen; and her stepgrandchildren, David Diamond, Jeff Diamond, Martha O'Dell, Melissa Mosby and Lisa Benthal.
