With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Jean Wallace of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on September 12, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Barbara Jean may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jones-Gilmer and Chlora Jones-Gilmer. She is survived by: her son Chris Wallace (Jennifer) of Cape Girardeau, MO; her grandchildren, Kate Burton (Ben) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Lydia Wallace (Michael Guevara) of Cape Girardeau, MO and Maci Rayburn (Ryan) of Cabot, AR; her great grandchildren, Charlee Kate Burton, Hudson Burton and Lillian Rayburn; and her sister Sandra Matlock (Alan). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
