It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anne B. Tlapek (Cape Girardeau, Missouri), who passed away on January 12, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anne B. Tlapek to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry C. Blanton and Maureen Daily Blanton; her husband James Patrick "Pat" Tlapek; and her siblings, Rosemary Barr Quatmann, Patricia Kavanagh, Maureen Klein Graham, John and Joseph Blanton.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Menefee (Larry) of Plano, Texas, John Tlapek (Alicia) of Denver, Colorado, David Tlapek (Catherine) of Aliso Viejo, California, Steve Tlapek (Cheryl) of Webster Groves, Bob Tlapek (Sarah) of Cape Girardeau and Maureen Koshakji (Pierre) of Dallas, Texas.; her grandchildren, Annie Menefee of Dallas, James Patrick "Paddy" Tlapek of Denver, Emily Tlapek, Kathryn Tlapek, Thomas Tlapek of Webster Groves, Elizabeth "Libby" Tlapek, Sean Tlapek of Cape Girardeau, Alexander Koshakji of Dallas, John Patrick Koshakji of Arlington, Virginia, James Koshakji of Fort Worth, Texas, Grant Koshakji and Andrew Koshakji of Dallas; and her brothers, Lewis (Barbara Blanton), Harry (Jane Blanton) and Claire Blanton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A prayer will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Parish Prayers Jan. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (1919 Ritter Dr, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
